Shane Embury Outta LOCK UP's Upcoming US Tour, Dan Lilker To Fill In

International grindcore supergroup, Lock Up‘s (featuring At The Gates frontman Tomas Lindberg, Anton Reisenegger of Pentagram and Criminal on guitar, Napalm Death bassist Shane Embury and ex-Dimmu Borgir and Testament drummer Nick Barker ) upcoming U.S. tour with Goatwhore and Strong Intention has experienced a slight hiccup.

No, the tour isn't being cancelled. It's not that serious (yet?). Shane Embury will just be stepping down from bass duties due to “prior commitments with Napalm Death.” In his place, Dan Lilker of Nuclear Assault (also of ex-Anthrax fame, and a columnist for Zero Tolerance Magazine) will be the temporary replacement. It's still another dude with insanely impressive credentials behind his name, so you can probably expect the supergroup to stay super and awesome.

Lilker commented on the opportunity:

“It’s a pleasure and an honor to (briefly) step in for Mr. Shane Embury and hold down the bass for Lock Up for these East Coast shows. Hope to see all the grindfreaks come out and experience the mayhem. Full speed ahead, fuckers!”
