SKINLESS Reunite To Play Delaware Deathfest, Hint At More

Skinless have only been broken up since 2011, but they haven't put out a record since 2006. Is now the right time for these classic death metallers to kill it with some new material?

Skinless will headline the third and final day of the Delaware Deathfest on October 6 (the event runs from October 4 to 6 in Wilmington, DE, at Mojo 13) alongside legends like Deicide, Suffocation and Dying Fetus. According to Sherwood Webber in an quote obtained by Blabbermouth:

"We're back. The classic Skinless lineup has always had an undeniable live chemistry and it's time to unleash the beast again. We're all old buddies and if we have the opportunity to destroy some stages around the world again, it feels right…. who knows what's next?!? In keeping with the old Skinless credo of not giving a fuck… we're back to destroy…. we can't let Exhumed have ALL the fun!"

Guitarist Noah Carpenter added:

"We won't be the road dogs of the past, but we'll be playing some select festivals and drinking all their beer. So sit back, slip on your absorbent undergarments, and let the mayhem begin… again!!!"

Where I'm picking up the whole "new record" vibe is where Webber says it feels right to be back together and who knows what will happen next. The last record the band put out was Trample the Weak, Hurdle the Dead in 2006, and I would imagine that in seven years someone has to have come up with a sick riff or something to that effect that would spark the wheels to turn once more. Regardless, Skinless is back!
