Slipknot recently reskinned their You Can't Kill Me website to tease more activities related to their 1999 self-titled album anniversary. If you scroll down, you'll see a little white demon icon flashing above the sentence "If you don’t have Netscape 4.0+ or Internet Explorer 4.0+." Click on it and it'll take you to this video… which is exactly where one Redditor started diving deep into the code.
User tmt1983 tore apart the video's source code and found a file named eloy.jpg alongside the names of everyone else in the band. If this was an accident on the band's part, then it means that former Sepultura drummer Eloy Casagrande is actually in the band (unless there's another dude named Eloy that drums). There's also one called jeff.jpg, which fans are also guessing is Jeff Karnowski from Dirty Little Rabbits (the side project of Slipknot percussionist and founder Shawn "Clown" Crahan) as a replacement for Craig Jones, who left the band in 2023..
Of course this all could also be an intentional red herring from Slipknot. The interesting twist here is that tmt1983 registered their Reddit account on April 22, and then posted that theory to the Slipknot Subreddit. tmt1983 has no other posts and no other comments outside the aforementioned post, which again – maybe it's a coincidence, or maybe this is a piece of something bigger?
All we know for sure is that Slipknot is headlining Sick New World 2024 on April 27. So whoever Slipknot has behind the kit right now, we're gonna see 'em in all their masked glory soon enough.
