Slipknot and Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor has occasionally talked about doing a solo album. Now in an interview with Halestorm vocalist Lzzy Hale, Taylor said the album is written and recorded. Taylor adds his backing band for the album is bassist Jason Christopher (Prong, ex-Ministry), drummer Dustin Schoenhofer (Walls of Jericho), and guitarists Zach Throne and Christian Martucci (Stone Sour).
"Right when everything’s starting to calm down, I secretly recorded my first solo album. I did it with the band that I’ve been using for my solo shows for years, and just a bunch of people that I’ve been working with forever.
"So, Jason, Dustin on drums—from Walls Of Jericho, and countless other things—Zach Throne, who I’ve been jamming with for a long time and 'Tucc' actually, from Stone Sour and everything. All five of us did it. We went in, and we recorded 25 songs in about two and a half weeks and we did everything live and it’s dope."
