SOMBRE FIGURES – Broken Bones
A little late to the game on this one but a huge Gimme nod to this summer furnace blast out of Finland. Slobberingly vicious vox, trashheap drumkit, tempos that rather than lurching around corners on a fine dime carelessly take out the whole alleyway, song structures that continually stand on the verge of getting sucked up into a black hole of sickness. Wild stuff.
DESCENT – Resolve
Primo Aussie death from Snorlax and Resin Tomb members from their forthcoming 'Order of Chaos' LP coming in January on Brilliant Emperor. Slashing and grinding its way into your earholes with severe treble-buzz and white noise grind this track hovers like a vulture over the prospect of completely falling apart.
KHEMMIS – House of Cadmus
Khemmis still rep the Denver Doom with their newest and 4th full lengther 'Deceiver' out November 19th, their first since 2018's 'Desolation'. They plod some dark pathways here, a diary of emotional/psychic turmoil the years have presented, chockful of their sloth-crawl riffage, surging vocal delivery and dynamic studio sensibilties. We dig this animated video clip by Romanian artist Costin Chioreanu who's done clips for At the Gates and Carcass, and we hope you dig their latest DJ session on Gimme coming your way Friday November 5th at 3pm ET/12pm PT.

A detour into some acoustic realms here, as Norwegian progsters Green Carnation celebrate the 15th anniversary of their 'Acoustic Verses' LP with a remaster on Season of Mist, complete with new art and three extra tracks. They're slated for a December 15th takeover on Gimme, so set your calendars.
