The Black Crowes are not at all metal, but to fans who grew up in the 90s, it may interest you to know the band have announced they are getting back together.
If you've followed the band's story at all, this does seem just a bit surprising giving how public the war of words between founding brothers Chris and Rich Robinson has been over the years. But I guess they put their differences aside for a huge payday next year.
The brothers will be heading out to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut album, Shake Your Money Maker, as well as other hits. Joining them will be guitarist Isiah Mitchell (Earthless), bassist Tim LeFebvre (David Bowie's "Blackstar") and keyboardist Joel Robinow and drummer Ojha of Once And Future Band.
The press release even had the brothers saying nice things about each other.
Chris Robinson says of reuniting: "I'm thrilled and blessed to be playing with my brother celebrating the music we've made and bringing our lives together full circle. Long live rock n' roll and THE BLACK CROWES!"
Rich Robinson adds: "First and foremost, I'm really happy to have my brother back in my life. To be able to play music again together and celebrate the first record we made as kids is a gift. To have these songs stand up after 30 years is something I could've never fathomed."
