We were incredibly bummed to report that The Human Abstract decided to call it quits a few months ago. But then there seemed to be some hope. Maybe they weren't completely over just yet? Well, they aren't! The band have been officially announced as a part of the insane Czech festival, the Brutal Assault fest, which also features bands like Immortal, Pig Destroyer, Alcest, Machine Head, Norma Jean, The Black Dahlia Murder, Converge and many others. This has led to speculation, mainly by my boy Axl at MetalSucks, that the band wouldn't just fly all the way to Europe to play one show, they'd actually do a tour of Europe too.
To that I say: Congratulations, you lucky Euro bastards! If the Human Abstract is reading this, maybe they should book some US dates too? Preferably in the Northeast, specifically in New York City? Thanks guys!
All kidding aside, this still raises one question: who will sing for the band? Vocalist Travis Richter quit long before the band officially broke up, nothing personal…he was just over the road. So it's probably not him. Will they get fill in Ryan Devlin of Corelia to fill in? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
