Magnetic Eye Records is no stranger to the world of cover albums. The label has put out a cover album of Helmet's Meantime and The Jimi Hendrix Experience's Electric Ladyland, though with multiple artists covering one song from each of the albums.
Now the label has launched, and has already successfully funded, a cover album of Pink Floyd's The Wall. The label was asking for $5,000 to have everyone record their songs and put it out on various physical formats, and ended up raising closer to $18,000.
Here's a list of the artists who are contributing to The Wall, which is expected to be out sometime April 2018. You can hear an early version of "Goodbye Blue Sky" here, and check out the Jimi Hendrix tribute here, and the Helmet tribute here.
