As the weather warms up and tour season kicks into high gear, we're starting to see more marquee releases coming down the pipeline. This isn't a good time to get behind on your metal… playing catch up later is going to be a bitch from this point on.
Finntroll – Blodsvept
Genre: Folk Metal
Origin: Helsinki, Finland
Label: Century Media
Review already in the books on this one, where Alex found "the grim subject matter somehow festive" and "straightforward in its delivery".

Hypocrisy – End Of Disclosure
Genre: Death Metal
Origin: Ludvika, Sweden
Label: Nuclear Blast
Four years after the last Hypocrisy full length, Peter Tagtren is back in full force. Hypocrisy is one of those bands for me that works best when they've been out of the spotlight for a few years – they're definitely the kind of band you tend to get worn out on with overexposure – so needless to say this has been one of their best received albums for me in quite some time. Review up shortly.

Killswitch Engage – Disarm The Descent
Genre: Metalcore
Origin: Westfield, Massachusetts
Label: Roadrunner
Greg was all over this a full three weeks ago, calling " the riffs, melodies and solos top-notch in all their semi-technicality and shreddiness" while also lamenting that "variety certainly isn’t going to kill them either". Read his review here.

Toxic Holocaust – From The Ashes…
Genre: Thrash
Origin: Portland, Oregon
Label: Relapse
Don't get too excited, this is just a comp of previously released material. Kind of a strange one, though… according to the Relapse press release From the Ashes of Nuclear Destruction contains "the band’s many contributions to various comps and vinyl-only splits… together with demo versions of treasured TOXIC classics" but, at least on the digital version, the origin of these tracks is unspecified. I can, however, tell you that it sounds like demos across the board.
