Ript Apparel are doing it right. The brand has gotten together a bunch of artists and came up with parody versions of famous album artworks and put various cartoon characters on them. There are quite a few I want on here, so it's almost unfortunate I've seen this! Some of the artworks (as you'll see below) include Kiss, Rage Against the Machine, Metallica and Alice In Chains. Not all the album art parodies are metal, but there's a solid chunk of 'em!
