This Dave Brockie Memorial Art Show Looks Awesome!

Plus the art we have to display in here looks exactly like something Brockie would have done.

Plus the art we have to display in here looks exactly like something Brockie would have done.

On May 3, the MF Gallery (located at 213 Bond St. in Brooklyn) will be holding a free admission opening party for the Dave Brockie Memorial Art Show from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Brockie was a collaborator with MF Gallery over the years, so it makes a lot of sense they would be hosting the event! Music by Gwar, Death Piggy and DBX will be playing all night and there will be projections of various Gwar and Dave Brockie videos playing throughout the night. So what's the benefit? Well, the opening night will be a "cash and carry" sale where patrons can buy pieces of art dedicated to Brockie's life. The proceeds from the sale will partially go to the Dave Brockie Foundation, which we have covered before. There are quite a few artists' who have contributed to the event as well and have all been listed in a press release! Check it out!
