TOBIAS FORGE Confirms GHOST Has A Movie In The Works

The Los Angeles show was a part of it.

Ghost mastermind Tobias Forge has confirmed that the band's two shows at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, CA are a part of an upcoming film. In an interview with Metal Hammer, Forge said the crowd at both LA shows were used as extras and that the project is only partially focused on the concerts.

"We were essentially shooting a film," said Forge. "And we used two nights of crowds as extras… It's going to be a film with a concert element. So a lot of what you experienced [at the two LA shows] is going to be part of this project."

Forge also touched on the fact that phones and any kind of filming were banned at both shows. He adds that their absence made them two of the best shows Ghost has ever done, which I'm sure makes a lot more sense when you're the person staring out into a sea of phone cases.

"When I first started putting it together, I was like, 'Oh my god, I'm going to faint because there's so much to think about.' Then it was, like, 'No, no, just don't think about it at all.'"

He continued: "I have never seen a crowd interact the way that they did since I was in a club band. They were the best shows I've ever done with Ghost, just because I didn't have to see those fucking mobile phones."

So stay tuned! All we know so far is that both shows ran as follows:

  1. "Kaisarion"
  2. "Rats"
  3. "Faith"
  4. "Spillways"
  5. "Cirice"
