The 2020 Billboard Music Awards worked out for Tool, but not so much for Metallica and Slipknot. Tool's 2019 album Fear Inoculum won the Top Rock Album award, while Metallica lost out to Elton John and P!nk in the Top Touring Artist and Top Rock Tour categories.
The 2020 Billboard Music Awards were held digitally and were broadcast from The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, CA on October 14.
