Tool guitarist Adam Jones appears to finally be getting his own Gibson Custom Shop guitar. The Tool Instagram posted a photo of the guitars sitting on shelves, commenting "It doesn’t get more OFFICIAL than this* ???? @adamjones_tv Gibson Signature Guitars now in production! ???." The signature guitar will likely be a recreation of Jones' usual 1979 Les Paul Custom Silverburst.
Tool may or may not be working on new material. Drummer Danny Carey said in April he hopes the band will work on an EP during the COVID-19 pandemic, while bassist Justin Chancellor has revealed he's working on new riffs. If Tool does put out an EP, it'll be their first since Opiate in 1992.
