Unearth will hit the road this July for a handful of European Festivals and club shows, and they've got a familiar face behind the drum kit for 'em.
Unearth is welcoming back Mike Justian on drums for their upcoming live shows. Justian played with the band between 2002 and 2007 and replaces Nick Pierce, who has departed from the group. All Unearth said about the split in the press release was that they "collectively wish Nick the best with future projects."
"I'm tremendously excited and grateful for the chance to play these tunes again and make new memories with these guys," said Justian. "Looking forward and see ya soon. Cheers!"
"Mike's contributions on our albums The Oncoming Storm and III: In the Eyes of Fire as well as his unmatched live performances cemented him as part of this band forever and we couldn't be happier to revisit the stage, those songs and more, together this summer," added the band.
Unearth is also in the studio with Will Putney (Counterparts, Fit For An Autopsy, etc.) wrapping up their first new album since Extinction(s) in 2018. The album will be Pierce's final album with the band.
