Former PANTERA Bassist's 'Inside Story Of PANTERA' Memoir Due In March

Rex Brown's memoir, Official Truth, 101 Proof: The Inside Story of Pantera, is set for release on March 12 via Da Capo Press. Nothing excites me more than to hear about the surviving members of Pantera writing memoirs about their days in one of the most prolific metal bands to ever grace the stage.

The 320-page book is described in its press release as "a 'starkly honest and revealing' book about Rex's time in one of the most influential and enduringly popular bands in heavy metal history, offering Brown's shocking personal insight into a band that had swapped the grimy clubs of Texas for arenas around the world."

Brown's memoirs were co-authored by Mark Eglinton, who wrote a James Hetfield biography back in 2010 called "James Hetfield: The Wolf At Metallica's Door".

Former Pantera vocalist Philip Anselmo is also penning an autobiography, called Mouth For War: Pantera, Pain, & Pride – Heavy Metal Highs, Drugged Out Lows, & The Battle For My Life with the help of MetalSucks contributor Corey Mitchell set for release sometime in 2014.

Expect a book review.
