Humanity, it is not dead and we have proof. Jeremy Brooks was not doing too well. His niece had just passed away at just five-months-old and and he wanted to help his family pay with the funeral costs.
Brooks decided to sell his beautiful, custom Kiesel guitar with the following listing on the private “Kiesel & Carvin Buy/Sell/Trade” Facebook group:
“Hello fellow musicians, I am selling this bad boy today. I bought him at NAMM and he has served me very well. Clean tone, and everything I’ve ever wanted in a 7 string guitar. Asking price is $2000. Original price for this custom guitar is over $3469. Proceeds are going towards my niece’s funeral who passed away.”
But fellow Kiesel enthusiasts were having none of it. Instead of making offers on the guitar, these anonymous guitar aficionados decided to band together and fundraise for the funeral of Jeremy's niece.
A GoFundMe page has been launched and as of this writing has raised $1,200 of the $2,000 goal. What a heartwarming story.
