KORN Frontman On U.S. Presidential Candidates: "They All Suck"

He's actually got a pretty solid point.

He's actually got a pretty solid point.

We've had some interesting presidential candidate remarks coming from various musicians ever since we've seen who is trying to get each party's nomination. From Five Finger Death Punch's guitarist loving Donald Trump and Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor hating Trump, even to Rick Santorum very passively accepting Megadeth's support way too late, it's been a weird ride so far.

Now Korn frontman Jonathan Davis is throwing his hat into the ring… or throwing his hate into the ring, if you're all about making shitty puns. Davis' political leanings stirred up some controversy last year, when he said America is turning into a police state and said Obama was passing dictator-like laws. He's stayed pretty quiet on the topic of politics until a new interview with Death and Taxes. Davis was asked whom he endorses, and the answer is pretty much nobody:

“They all suck,” lamented Davis. “The fucking candidates, they all suck. Why can’t there be anybody good? I just want the America I had as a kid growing up, and it’s not that no more. I like Rand Paul, but that’s never gonna happen. Ron Paul should have been president, but that would have never happened. I believe presidents are chosen, not elected. Why is ever president fucking related? You tell me that. No little guy is gonna make it. It’s all so corrupt.”

At the very least that last sentence rings pretty true regardless of your political affiliations. Also, if you were ever hoping Davis would run for president, guess what! He's not.

“No, I don’t want that job,” said Davis. “Look at Obama. He’s like aged 50 years. Every president when they get that job, look at them from when they started to when they ended. It’s gotta be hell.”

Though I can't imagine being the frontman of a band that tours constantly and working your ass off like Davis does is a whole lot less stressful.
