This weekend, master publicity getter Kanye West announced he was running for president. Coincidentally, he previously announced a planned run for the presidency in 2016 (when he had an album coming out.) And guess what? He has been rumored to be releasing a new album for months now. So, as a way to get that extra mainstream push, 'Ye decided to make an announcement and was immediately backed by billionaire Tesla owner and his new BFF, Elon Musk.
Here are the tweets.

Linkin Park frontman Mike Shinoda, realizing he also has a new album to promote has decided to throw his hat in the race as well, with an asterisk.

Mike, too, is running for President, and by that he means he has new music coming out.
Of course, before you start a wild conspiracy about how this will somehow take away votes from Joe Biden, relax. Kanye has yet to even file any FEC papers to officially throw his hat in the race.
Shinoda will be releasing Dropped Flames Vol 1, an instrumental album inspired by his live Twitch streams this Friday, July 10th.
Here is some of the music he will be releasing.
