Let This Video Serve As A Lesson On Why You Shouldn't Propose To Your Girlfriend At A Concert

Ouch! That had to hurt.

Ouch! That had to hurt.

Proposing at concerts became quite a trend this year. We've seen proposals at an Avenged Sevenfold show, right in front of Barney Greenway at a Napalm Death show and even at Stone Sour meet and greets. We've seen a man propose to his wife in front of Robb Flynn and Machine Head, leading to Flynn demanding some hilarious conditions from the couple.

Sometimes, even the bands themselves get in on the act. Mastodon's Brent Hinds proposed to his now-wife at one of the band's gigs, as did Stone Sour bassist Johnny Chow. But not all marriage proposals on stage have happy endings.

Case in point: at a recent gig for indie rock band The Front Bottoms, a man hopped up on stage and professed his love to his girlfriend. He got on one knee, and well, then this happened…

Dear god, the embarrassment. I feel so embarrassed and I had not to do with this, imagine how this guy feels? Now you might be thinking: why did she not just say yes and then let him down gently after? Sure, that could've been one route, but what if this guy jumped the gun so fast that this girl was so shocked, herself embarrassed and so annoyed that all she could think to do was exit the stage?

I guess we won't know how this story ends, but let this serve as a reminder to any fan looking to propose to a potential fiancé at a concert, maybe have a talk before hand to make sure they are as committed to the relationship as you are, as opposed to springing this on a person out of nowhere.
