I feel very lucky and privileged to live in New York City, where on any night, there could be as many as three or four amazing metal shows happening – to the point that I get fatigue and decide to skip out on more shows than I should. Metalheads in the Philippines are not that lucky, and a metal show comes only so often.
So, when Slayer announced their first ever show in Manilla, happening on Wednesday, Oct. 11th, fans were really excited. That was until this afternoon.
According to MetalSucks, the promoters of the show, PULP Live World, released a flyer noting items banned from the venue. Some of this stuff is common sense: no weapons, last pointers, professional film equipment. But fans were shocked to see no crowdsurfing and no moshing allowed at the venue:
MetalSucks notes the comment section of the Facebook page for the event has fans pissed:
Well, look at it this way, Manilla. At least you get to see Slayer. And you can jump up and down, and maybe start pushing each other lightly. Lightly! Not too strong or you may get kicked out for moshing, and miss "Raining Blood."
