Chris Cornell's daughter Toni had a very special Father's Day present for her dad, one year after his death.
She posted a version of Prince's song "Nothing Compares 2 U," made famous by Sinead O'conner. The version Toni posted is actually a duet between her and her late dad. Toni does most of the singing, while Chris accompanies her with backing vocals. She included this message:
Daddy,
I love you and miss you so much. You were the best father anyone could ask for. Our relationship was so special, and you were always there for me. You gave me courage when I didn’t have any. You believed in me when I didn’t. I miss your love everyday. Recording this song with you was a special and amazing experience I wish I could repeat 100 times over and I know you would too. Happy Father’s Day daddy, nothing compares to you.

Toni's mother chimed in on social media writing about how proud she was of her daughter's courage. We agree:
I’m so proud of my baby girl for having the courage to share this. July 19, last year she found it in her daddy’s studio files-they recorded it a few months before he died. You never know what life brings and how we live each day is what’s most important #FathersDay #chriscornell https://t.co/UcauXjLvgb

This is Toni's first public statement since appearing on Good Morning America to sing “Hallelujah” in tribute to her father, and her late Godfather, Chester Bennington.
