We're incredibly bummed to report today that Pilgrim guitarist and frontman Jon Rossi has passed away at the age of 26 years old. No cause of death has yet been revealed, but tributes and posts have begun pouring in from the metal community. Pilgrim released two highly influential doom albums in its career, 2012's Misery Wizard and 2014's II: Void Worship, as well as a demo, split, and live offering via Scion A/V.
Pilgrim just played in Providence with Cobalt and The Obsessed on October 25, and we had the pleasure of filming the band's live performance at Saint Vitus this March. You can watch Pilgrim's final performance below. Rest In Peace, Jon.
