Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali passed away on Thursday night, August 20, at the age of 68 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Banali was originally diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer in April 2019, and returned to the stage last November after successful cancer treatments. Banali unfortunately was re-admitted to the hospital this June, and unfortunately suffered a stroke earlier this month.
No further details are available at this time, and funeral plans have not yet been announced.
Banali drummed on and off for Quiet Riot between 1982 and present day, and for W.A.S.P. on and off between 1989 and 2004. R.I.P. Frankie Banali, and thanks for all the music over the years.
