BEYOND THE GATES Fest Announce Once In A Lifetime EMPEROR, MAYHEM, ENSLAVED Sets For 2021

Mercyful Fate, Opeth, Mgla, Tribulation and more!

Beyond The Gates

The legendary Beyond The Gates festival in Bergen, Norway is well known as an absolute must-visit for any black metal enthusiast in the world, and it looks as though they're really upping the ante for 2021 with a roster that already includes special sets from Mercyful Fate, Opeth, Mgla, Gaahls WYRD, Me and That Man, Tribulation and so many more of my personal favorites!

From their relentless craft of organizing an amazing line up that really flexes the country's greatest export, True Norwegian Black Metal, to the location being set on the shores of viking heritage, you're hard pressed to find another metal festival like it as I've spoken about before. If this all wasn't enough, they went ahead and already outdid themselves for next year.

For the first time in history, Emperor, Mayhem, and Enslaved will enter Greieghallen Studio, where all 3 bands recorded their debut albums, to put on a once in a lifetime show!

«Grieghallen MCMXCIV» will see Emperor embrace three decades of imperial darkness, which was spearheaded by their Grieghallen legacy. Mayhem will perform their magnum opus, De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas in its entirety, and Enslaved will revisit their debut, Vikingligr Veldi.

Needless to say, this is a black metal wet dream and not to be missed! Grab your tickets now. The full festival line up is below.
