Newly-minted solo artist and voice of Jack Skellington (among other things) Danny Elfman has announced a special one-off Halloween show at The Hollywood Bowl. Much like his Coachella performance, Elfman's live band will include guitarists Wes Borland (Limp Bizkit) and Nili Brosh (Tony MacAlpine, ex-Cirque du Soleil), bassist Stu Brooks (Dub Trio) and drummer Josh Freese (ex-Nine Inch Nails, ex-A Perfect Circle).
"This Halloween! A special Coachella-Plus concert at The Hollywood Bowl! I promise it will be insane! Same show as Coachella but with MUCH MORE added. More songs from Boingo, more songs from Big Mess (some never before played live on this planet) and more film score highlights. All performed with the same great band and a full orchestra and choir onstage! If you were at Coachella you’ll still love it. If you saw it online, then you REALLY want to catch the full live performance, which is WAY more than what the cameras picked up.
"Sorry to say this Halloween, my show is NOT for the kiddies! Expect the unexpected and see you there!"
Elfman recently released his new remix album Bigger. Messier. featuring remixed and reimagined versions of songs from his 2021 album Big Mess from artists like Trent Reznor, Health, Xiu Xiu, Ghostemane, Machine Girl, and more! You can check that out here.
Elfman also recently announced an incredibly expansive box set version of his new album Big Mess, including bonus discs of unheard remixes, never-before-released songs with featured vocalists including Rebekah Del Rio, Fever 333, Blixa Bargeld, and tons of photos and goodies. The Big Mess box set is available here.
