While there won't ever be a metal band playing the Super Bowl halftime show, at least we got a hard rock/heavy metal band playing Super Bowl weekend?
Guns N' Roses have announced their first performance of 2020, and it will be a part of Super Bowl weekend in Miami. They will be playing on January 31st at the American Airlines Arena.
Other performances scheduled that weekend are DJ Khaled & friends and DaBaby on 1/30 and last year's Super Bowl halftime performers Maroon 5 on 2/1 with a special guest TBA.
Jennifer Lopez and Shakira are scheduled to perform at the upcoming halftime show.
Guns N' Roses, who were one of the highest grossing acts of the decade, and just had the third highest grossing tour ever only have one other show lined up next year, and that's South America's Lollapalooza.
Earlier in they ear, Slash confirmed the band in the early process of working on new music, so we're hoping that's how they are keeping busy until January.
