Well, the not-so-well-kept secret tour announcement is here! Fresh off their performance with Lady Gaga at the GRAMMYs last night, Metallica announced a massive North American tour. Metallica will be touring with Volbeat and Avenged Sevenfold, just as we'd all expected, with the addition of Gojira on the final six days! Here are allthe details on how to obtain tickets, courtesy of Metallica's website.
“How do I get tickets?” you ask! Presales for Fan Club members begin tomorrow, February 14th. Click here for all the details. Citi card members may purchase tickets beginning at 11:00 AM local time tomorrow, February 14th and for a complete list of other presales, click here. Public onsale is Friday, February 17th at 10:00 AM local time except where indicated below.
The band has also announced its All Within My Hands Foundation, which supports various local charities. You can check all those details and donations options here as well! Essentially the donation process works by you choosing your tour date, seeing what charity they're donating to that night, and then making the proper donation.
All funds raised will be donated to a cross-section of national, local and Bay Area charities that the individual band members support, along with continuing to donate to music education programs and food banks. As we gear up to hit the road in North America, we’re proud to also announce our collaboration with Crowdrise and we hope we’ve inspired you to make a donation when you purchase your tickets to the upcoming gigs… you can win some pretty cool prizes each night in the States and one lucky winner for the tour will travel with us to a show along the way. Read all about it and get the scoop on some of our other efforts at crowdrise.com/metallicamusic.
Every ticket sold will come with a copy of the band's new album, Hardwired… To Self Destruct.
