Finally, another good metal festival returns to the North Texas area. There used to be all different festivals popping around ten years ago, but things have stagnated since then and, now, it's just been the same lameduck festivals put on by the same lameduck promoter.
But luckily, Ghostlight Concerts has just announced the inaugural Fort Worth Metal Fest, which will take place Memorial Day Weekend (May 22-24) at The Rail Club in Ft. Worth, Texas, and this is a great looking lineup!
Friday night: Warbeast, Goatwhore, and Eyehategod are going to kickstart the insanity that will take place at The Rail Club. After watching Down nearly destroy the place after two back-to-back shows several years ago, I'm not quite sure how the place is going to remain in one piece.
And, then, Saturday, Napalm Death and fucking Devourment are going to make the crowd, which is more than likely probably going to remain intoxicated, convulse into an even more chaotic frenzy.
And, finally, on Sunday, things will wrap up with Ringworm, the final Texas performance of Nuclear Assault, and a ton of local Dallas-Ft. Worth based bands.
The full daily lineups are posted on the festival's Prekindle website, and you can view the entire lineup for the 2015 Forth Worth Metal Fest below:
