The Summer Slaughter Tour this year consists of Cannibal Corpse, Nile, and After the Burial, with support from Suffocation, Carnifex, Revocation, Krisiun and more, with the whole thing kicking off in Orlando. At least that was the plan, until the horrific June 12 shooting at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando took place. The Orlando date has not been moved to the Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale, which as MetalSucks points out is over 200 miles away.
While that definitely sucks for those planning to go to the Orlando date, it's probably a wise and respectful move on tour's part to move it away from the Pulse Nightclub.The original venue location in Orlando is the same place where Christina Grimmie was shot as well. Having a tour with "Slaughter" in the name right where an absolute atrocity happened probably isn't the best idea. Also, while Ft. Lauderdale isn't exactly close, Tampa definitely is.
All that being said, here are the revised FL dates. All other dates remain the same.
