Roadburn Festival 2020 has officially begun. The festival has been announced for April 16 through 19 in Tilburg, NET and will be curated by Emma Ruth Rundle and James Kent, better known as Perturbator.
Roadburn 2020 has also announced its first handful of artists for its usually stellar lineup. So far there's a collaboration between Cult Of Luna guitarist and vocalist Johannes Persson and Perturbator, a collaboration between Jo Quail and New Trombone Collective titled Jo Quail Presents The Cartographer, and one between Vile Creature and Bismuth named A Hymn Of Loss And Hope.
Persson will also return for a collaboration with vocalist Julie Christmas, who you might know from her album with Cult Of Luna in 2013 titled Mariner, and ex-Kylesa guitarist Laura Pleasants.
Our first announcements for 2020 set the tone for the next edition of Roadburn. Three commissioned pieces, two curators… and there’s only one Julie Christmas!
Tickets will be on sale September 24. Stay tuned for more info. pic.twitter.com/EXG9Lqebwu
