Slayer are continuing their goal to "play as many places as possible to make it easier for everyone to see the band one last time,” by announced leg FIVE of their final world tour. This leg will see the back in North America, hitting a ton of towns they skipped on the first two go-arounds.
Once again, Lamb of God will be providing direct support on all dates. As Chris Adler said when we interviewed him a few months ago, "When Slayer calls and asks you to be on their final tour, you don't say no." Under Lamb of God are two other huge metal acts – Amon Amarth and Cannibal Corpse. Any of these four bands on their own would be an insane show, so combining all four is quite the smorgasbord.
There will be 16 shows in total, kicking off May 2, 2019 at the Ak-Chin Pavilion in Phoenix AZ and winding down at the end of the month at the Xfinity Center Amphitheatre in Mansfield, MA on May 25 . Here are the dates:
May 2 Ak-Chin Pavilion, Phoenix, AZ
May 3 Isleta Amphitheater, Albuquerque, NM
May 5 UTEP/Don Haskins Center, El Paso, TX
May 7 Bert Ogden Arena, Edinburg, TX
May 8 The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory, Dallas, TX
May 10 MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre, Tampa, FL
May 11 Coral Sky Amphitheatre, West Palm Beach, Florida
May 13 Big Sandy Superstore Arena, Huntington, WVa
May 14 Merriweather Post Pavilion, Columbia, MD
May 16 Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center, Noblesville, IN

And some quotes from the bands:
"We are pleased to announce that the brutality continues with Lamb Of God supporting Slayer on another leg of their farewell world tour! This is the real thing and is not one to miss. Heavy metal is alive and well and we can see it on the faces and hear it in the voices of the huge crowds filling arenas and amphitheaters everywhere we’ve been. It’s been inspirational to see the energy and dedication of diehard Slayer fans turning out in huge numbers all over the world to support the kings of metal. For Lamb Of God to have been so well received is an honor all its own and we are beyond grateful to join them for another round. Cheers!" – Mark Morton, Lamb of God “We are very excited to hit the road with Slayer again. It is no secret that Slayer is one of our absolute favorite bands, and even though it is sad to see such an influential and legendary band retiring, it is an absolute honor to have been invited to be a part of their farewell tour.” — Amon Amarth Cannibal Corpse comments, “We are extremely honored to be sharing the stage with Amon Amarth, Lamb of God, and of course Slayer this spring on their farewell tour! To be part of this historic event will be something we will never forget.”
