Slipknot is extending their Knotfest Roadshow in September with a handful of additional dates with Ice Nine Kills and Crown The Empire. Tickets will go on sale tomorrow, June 14. As for when we're getting new music from the band, all we know is that vocalist Corey Taylor told a crowd earlier this month that "probably within the next month, you will probably hear some new fuckin' Slipknot shit." So keep an eye out for that.
Slipknot said they were mixing their new record back in February, and as of March were still mixing it. Taylor said in an interview at the time that the record was about halfway mixed and that it should be out sometime this summer. According to DJ Sid Wilson, the new Slipknot record features samples of outer space, and according to drummer Jay Weinberg it features both "the heaviest blues song on earth" and a lot of new experimentation within the band's sound.
