Supergroup TEMPLE OF THE DOG (PEARL JAM, SOUNDGARDEN) Announce First Ever Tour

25 years in the making

25 years in the making

Temple of the Dog initially started as a studio project in tribute to late Mother Love Bone vocalist Andrew Wood. The group consisted of former members of Mother Love Bone, and members of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam.

The idea for the band started when Cornell, who was Wood's roommate, found him overdosed on heroin. Cornell began writing songs in tribute to his fallen friend and approached Mother Love Bone members Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament and they began recording what eventually became their eponymous self-titled debut. Outside of a few local shows, the group never played live. Until now…

The limited tour coincides with the 25th anniversary re-release of the debut album, and will lead to the band playing five cities – Philadelphia, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Seattle, in November. The line up will be Chris Cornell, Pearl Jam's Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, and Mike McCready, and drummer Matt Cameron. Here is the routing:

11/04 Philadelphia, PA Tower Theater
11/07 New York, NY Madison Square Garden
11/11 San Francisco, CA Bill Graham Civic Center
11/14 Los Angeles, CA The Forum
11/20 Seattle, WA Paramount Theater
