Arch Enemy's next album will be interesting for two reasons. For one, the band now has to follow up 2014's War Eternal, which was massively hyped due to new frontman Alissa White-Gluz overtaking Angel Gossow's position of 14 years. Secondly, this will be the band's first album performed on and written by (to whatever extent) guitarist Jeff Loomis.
Guitarist Michael Amott took to Twitter to answer a fan's question about new material, and says Arch Enemy is in the studio now and is aiming to have the new album out by maybe September.
I hope after the summer…September!? We're in the studio now… ? https://t.co/GLQUoSU2az

Personally, I'm stoked. War Eternal is one of my favorite Arch Enemy albums, and with the addition of Jeff Loomis, the group is on track to drop probably one of the best of its career.
