This is a good week for Between The Buried and Me fans. They are kicking off their Summer Slaughter trek this coming Friday in LA, and today, they have officially announced the upcoming release of their next album, The Parallax Part 2: Future Sequence, which is of course the sequel to last year's fantastic The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogue EP. The album will be released on October 9th, 2012 on Metal Blade Records.
A few months ago, bassist Dan Briggs described the album as "pretty fucking out there" with this being their first concept full-length since Colors. Briggs also warned that stylistically, this one doesn't sound much like the Parallax EP.
Either way, I'm incredibly excited to add another release to my wait list in what has clearly been an amazing year for new music in heavy metal.
