We've known for a little while now that Bloodbath is going to release an album in 2018. The band recently began teasing the release and is now confirming that yes – they just turned in the masters to Peaceville and the new record is definitely coming soon. One part of the below Facebook post is interesting though, as it seems to hint at a change in the band's lineup.
The new album is officially DONE and the master is now leaving us and heading to Peaceville! Curious about the artwork? The album title? The song titles? The number of songs on the album? The release date? The formats? The line-up? The sound and production? The fuckin' legendary featured guests? Watch this space….
As far as we know, Bloodbath is Paradise Lost vocalist Nick Holmes, bassist Jonas Renkse and guitarist Anders "Blakkheim" Nyström both of Katatonia, and Opeth drummer Martin Axenrot. Ex-Katatonia guitarist Per Eriksson left in 2017, so maybe they're replacing him? Or maybe Holmes was busy and they've replaced him on vocals. Which wouldn't be too surprising, considering Bloodbath has four studio albums and three ex-vocalists.
The mysteries of Bloodbath continues, it seems.
