Carnifex will hit the studio in a few weeks to record the follow-up to their 2021 album Graveside Confessions. The new album will be the band's first with guitarist Neal Tiemann, who left DevilDriver in 2021 and joined Carnifex in 2022.
Carnifex's new album will be produced by Jason Suecof, who has previously worked with the band on their 2011 album Until I Feel Nothing, 2016 album Slow Death, the 2018 EP Bury Me in Blasphemy, and World War X from 2019.
"Writing for record ni9e is nearly done. Amazing riffing and songwriting from Neal Tiemann, Shawn Cameron, Cory Arford & Fred Calderon," said Carnifex vocalist Scott Ian Lewis.
"A collection of truly brutal and anthemic Carnifex songs that I know will become new favorites. The album is titled, lyrics are over half done and we will be in the studio with Jason Suecof starting Feb 15th for about 5 weeks. Live drums are back, epic solos are back, the next evolution of CFX is here. Hold on tight."
