The new Corey Taylor solo album may be coming sooner than we thought. While Taylor has been teasing the album all year, it does seem like things are progressing quickly. We learned in May that the album was recorded, and now the marketing begins. Last night, Taylor shared a short video from what looks like the set of a music video.
The Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman posted a short video standing in front of four giant block letters spelling C-M-F-T. It's safe to assume that stands for "Corey Mother Fucking Taylor." Taylor was also holding a title belt over his arm, which featured the same abbreviation. It wouldn't take a rocket scientist to make the leap and assume that the album will be titled CMFT.
The video was also captioned #CMFT.
In the short video, Taylor said “We are back, behind the scenes, filming the video for [title of song bleeped out]. As you can see I’ve got the championship right here, and if anybody wants to take it… bring it the fuck on.”

Previously, Taylor revealed his backing back for the album:
Guitars: Christian Martucci (Stone Sour)
Guitars: Zach Throne
Bass: Jason Christopher (Prong)
Drums: Dustin Schoenhofer (Walls Of Jericho)
In a previous interview, Taylor noted the album will feature about 13 songs, even though the band's plan is to record 25. He noted the album is already 98% to 99% done.
“…We did thirteen originals. We recorded seven covers, and then we did six acoustic versions of the originals that we put together. Or [maybe] it’s five. I can never keep that straight. Maybe it’s six [covers] and six [acoustic versions] — I can’t remember. All I know is that we did an insane amount of work in two and a half weeks — something that we thought was gonna take two months — and we destroyed it. We were doing a song a day. And we got done, and we were, like, ‘Eh, okay. What are we gonna do now?’ Everything has come together so quickly that it’s crazy.”
Are you excited?
