The last thing we heard from Cynic was that they were mixing their new album in May and wanted to release it this fall. If you'll notice, we don't have a new Cynic record… but have artwork and a release date finally! Rejoice!
Cynic announced via their Facebook they would releasing their album Kindly Bent to Free Us come February 14, 2014.
It's a nice gift from the band to all y'all lonely suckers who aren't doing anything for Valentines Day (can you sense the sarcasm yet)! Seriously, I'm both excited and a little apprehensive about a new Cynic record- they're an amazing band, but if this anything like that hippie crap Carbon-Based Anatomy EP that came out in 2012 I'm going to be pretty disappointed.
No word on if Jim Carrey will be on the record either.
