Dragonforce has been on a fairly regular schedule of releasing a new album every two years (except for between 2014 and 2017), so it makes sense that they've begun the process of writing for the next one already. Bassist Frédéric Leclercq tells Metal Wani that they're working on the follow up to 2017's Reaching Into Infinity and that it'll be out probably September 2019.
"Sam [Totman, guitar] and I started writing songs a few months ago — maybe two months ago — and I'm supposed to have a look at those songs, actually, tomorrow. So, we are working on this, and we're planning on releasing it sometime next year. I think we're gonna start showing some videos on social media and what not, so things will appear. And I guess the album should come out sometime next year — probably September; that's what I imagine right now — and then go on tour."
This will be Dragonforce's ninth overall album, which is still crazy because I feel like "Through The Fire And The Flames" was only blowing everyone's minds just yesterday.
