Fear Factory was supposed to tour with Coal Chamber starting this March, but unfortunately that got canned due to the ongoing health issues of Coal Chamber frontman Dez Fafara. Instead of touring, Fear Factory is now going to use that time to complete their brand new record.
The new Fear Factory record will be their first-ever with vocalist Milo Silvestro, who replaced classic vocalist Burton C. Bell in 2021. It'll also be the first new Fear Factory record with drummer Pete Webber (Havok, Nuclear Power Trio, etc.), who joined the band in 2023.
"Due to Dez's health issues, the Coal Chamber tour has been cancelled. We're sending Dez our best wishes for a speedy recovery and thanking each of you who purchased tickets," wrote Fear Factory "Thank you for your unrelenting passion and support. We will now shift our focus to complete our new album, which we are excited to share with you all."
So how will the new Fear Factory record sound? According to Fear Factory mastermind Dino Cazares in a 2024 interview with MoreCore.TV, it'll be a throwback to their older sound.
"Classic Fear Factory record. Next year. For sure," said Cazares. "We've been touring since February of 2023. We've been touring non-stop. And I think we're very lucky that a lot of the promoters and a lot of fans are happy to have us back, and we're excited to get out there and play for them."
