GODFLESH Planning Two Releases for This Year

The industrial metal Gods are back!

The industrial metal Gods are back!

Whoa, Godflesh went from being an inactive band for basically a decade to having just completed a large-scale tour and working on not just one – but TWO releases this year.

That's some big steps forward.

First up, an EP named Decline & Fall will be out June 2nd via frontman Justin K. Broadrick’s label, Avalanche Recordings.

And, Justin is working on a full length. In a comment on a post he made announcing his signature 8-string guitar, Broadrick confirms a full-length is also coming this year. When asked if the album will be "djent" he responded:

firstly, I am unsure as to what Djent is! I have been playing an 8 string guitar for a few years now, first release that was 8 string was the Jesu 'Christmas' EP in 2010. All new Godflesh, both the EP and the new LP, were written and recorded with an 8 string, mainly due to the ability to tune even lower coupled with the capability to achieve more complex dissonant chords and riffs. On the latest jesu LP 'Every day I….', 'The Great Leveller' is with 8 string guitar….

Very exciting!
