Gygax, the heavy metal band named after Dungeons & Dragons co-creator Ernest Gary Gygax, will release their new record High Fantasy on June 21. High Fantasy was recorded live-in-studio at The Captain's Quarters Studios in Ventura, CA with ex-guitarist Armand Tambouris, and was given artwork by Fares Maese. Maese's artwork is well-known in the gaming community, and has been featured in games like Warhammer and Pathfinder.
Here's what vocalist and bassist Eric Harris had to say about the new record.
"At long last, we've taken time to amass a group of the most talented individuals working together to bring you another chapter in the Gygax campaign. Speaking on behalf of all the guild, we've never been so proud to present you with this catalogue of sweet sonic symphonies. We deeply thank Ben Murray, Rachel Autumn Deering, Fares Maese, and Armand John Anthony for allowing us to create this magnum opus. We'll see you all soon, adventurers. Party on from dusk til dawn."
