This edition of the Weekly Injection features prog legends getting quirky, fuzzy legends getting fuzzy, one of the most bombastic things I've ever heard, and more! To the metals…
The Atlas Moth – Coma Noir
Genre: Stoner/Sludge
Origin: Chicago, Illinois
Label: Prosthetic
It's been four years since their their last album of atmospheric, experimental, sludgy goodness, and that's far too long. Coma Noir showcases both the band's triple guitar assault and dueling vocals more than ever. While very much a continuation of The Old Believer, this album embraces the darkness of the "noir" theme. We've got a full review from Kevin here.

Fu Manchu – Clone of the Universe
Genre: Stoner rock
Origin: Orange County, California
Label: At The Dojo
This album makes one dozen records of Fu Manchu's unique blend of smokey stoner jams with care-free attitude, and it's up there with their best. You want fuzz? You got it. You want catchy shit? You got it. You want an eighteen-minute song with Alex Lifeson of Rush? You got it. You wanna get high? If you said yes to this last question, the police are on their way.

Good Tiger – We Will All Be Gone
Genre: Progressive
Origin: international
Label: Blacklight/Metal Blade
I interviewed drummer Alex Rudiger once, and he told me that Good Tiger is a band and not a project. I didn't really believe him, because the mix of musicians from all over (ex-Tesseract, ex-The Safety Fire, ex-The Faceless, and touring Architects) seemed doomed to be a one-off band. I'm really glad I was wrong. We Will All Be Gone takes the foundation of their debut and expands on it successfully in every way. Nate reviews the album here.

Harm's Way – Posthuman
Genre: Metalcore
Origin: Chicago, Illinois
Label: Metal Blade
This album sounds like sonic aggression in the form of gym metal. Rhythms are pretty steady and driving, vocals are pissed, and overall it's quite heavy. So, this would be perfect gym music. Is "gymcore" a thing? My assessment could also be because their vocalist is jacked. Michael has a full review here.

Legend of the Seagullmen – Legend of The Seagullmen
Genre: Progressive rock
Origin: Los Angeles, California
Label: Dine Alone
While everyone is still holding out hope for a new Tool album, drummer Danny Carey got restless again and joined forces with Brent from Mastodon, Jonah Hex director Jimmy Hayward, and more to form a rather odd collective. This sounds nothing like Tool and this sounds nothing like Mastodon (aside from some solos). Instead this is a rock record that dabbles in Primus-esque weirdness. From now on, I will be hoping for another Seagullmen record while the rest of y'all wait for Tool. Jordan is less excited than I am here.

Therion – Beloved Antichrist
Genre: Symphonic metal
Origin: Stockholm, Sweden
Label: Nuclear Blast
Let's end this week in a most epic manner. It's apparently been almost a decade since Therion released a full album of original material. So, of course, they come back with a three act (and three disc) musical. This is some Ayreon-level shit with almost thirty characters, a choir, symphony and all that madness. I'm super on board for projects of this magnitude, and am excited for the ride it's sure to be.
