In this edition I "forget" to mention the release you're most excited for just to piss you off, I make you ask snarky question "And you call yourself 'Metal' Injection?", I talk about records that came out, and more! To the metals…
Crystal Fairy – Crystal FairyÂ
Genre: Experimental
Origin:Â Guadalajara, Mexico/El Paso, Texas/Montesano, Washington
Label:Â Ipecac
Buy now on Amazon.com
This is one part Le Butcherettes, one part Mars Volta/At The Drive In, and two parts Melvins. On paper it seems like it would be a weird combinaiton, but it works really well. This gets weird at times, but the riffs are solid. A favorite of mine for the year so far. Check Kevin's take on it here.

Disperse – ForewordÂ
Genre: Progressive
Origin: Gmina Przeworsk, Poland
Label: Season Of Mist
Buy now on Amazon.com
I was totally unfamiliar with this band before this post, thank fuck I found them. This is more of a post-rock/experimental record, but there are plenty rhythmic quasi-djenty moments. I've sadly only heard a little of it so far (hint hint fellas), but I look Foreward to the rest.

Ex Deo – The Immortal WarsÂ
Genre: Symphonic death metal
Origin:Â Montreal, Canada
Label:Â Napalm
Buy now on Amazon.com
I hear you whining, "where's the metal" already. Here you go. Some Roman themed melodic death metal from the dude in Kataklysm. You'll head bang, you'll want to go into battle, and, heck, you might even learn something.

Immolation – AtonementÂ
Genre: Death metal
Origin:Â Yonkers, New York
Label:Â Nuclear Blast
Buy now on Amazon.com
Aaron says in best in his review. "Every genre of music has that band. You know, the one that completely changes the way people think about music and the ways in which it can be executed…When it comes to death metal, Immolation is one of those bands." Enough said. Well, I mean read the full review still, but these guys are masters.

King Woman – Created In The Image Of SufferingÂ
Genre: Doom/Shoegaze
Origin: San Francisco, California
Label:Â Relapse
Buy now on Amazon.com
On their sophomore record, King Woman return to continue their unique blend of devastatingly heavy doom and crippling emotional shoegaze. It's so easy to get lost in this record in more way than one. My cat doesn't seem too fond it as I listen to some while writing this, but don't let that stop you from checking it out.

Felix Martin –Â Mechanical NationsÂ
Genre: 13-String guitar jazz/fusion/etc
Origin:Â Los Angeles, California by way of Brazil
Label:Â Felix Martin
Buy now on Amazon.com
Ambidextrous guitar tapper Felix Martin has been making other guitarists feel inferior for a few years now, and his latest album will very much do the same. I haven't heard too much of it, but I'm sure its melodic, thumpy, instrumental not-quite metal. I've enjoyed his previous records. This will probably also do the trick.

The Mute Gods – …Tardigrades Will Inherit The EarthÂ
Genre: Progressive
Origin: England
Label:Â InsideOut
Buy now on Amazon.com
I already expressed my love for these guys on the first Thinking Man's Thursday, so peep that. For the TLDR version; This is Nick Beggs (Steven Wilson, Kajagoogoo), Marco Minnemann (The Aristocrats, ex-Necrophagist, lots more), and Roger King (Steve Hackett of Genesis' solo band). Together they make interesting, spacey prog rock.

Power Trip – Nightmare LogicÂ
Genre: Thrash/crossover
Origin:Â Dallas, Texas
Label:Â Southern Lord
Buy now on Amazon.com
I saw this band play on a rooftop in Austin, Texas once, and their show was so intense that it got shut down by people that booked them. That was a few years ago, and they haven't calmed down one bit. So if you're looking for some intense hardcore infused thrash, get on this.

Omar Rodriguez-Lopez –Â Ensayo De Un Desaparecido
Genre: Experimental
Origin: El Paso, Texas
Label: Ipecac
Buy now on Amazon.com
Every other week like clockwork, this guy is! Here's more re-imaginings of Omar's previous work. I am starting to feel like these Ipecac releases are cheating. Anyway, this time it's all songs from his Xenophanes record, which was a favorite of mine from his solo output. If you're an Omar fan and you only have enough time or money for one of his records this week, go Crystal Fairy, but this is still a fun thing to stream once or twice.
Sample it here.
Six Feet Under – TormentÂ
Genre: Death metal/groove metal
Origin:Â Tampa, Florida
Label:Â Metal Blade
Buy now on Amazon.com
Chris Barnes and pals are back with their twelfth of dirty, groovy death metal. Nothing crazy going on here, but if you're a SFU fan, you'll probably enjoy it?

Suicide Silence – Suicide SilenceÂ
Genre: Deathcore
Origin:Â Riverside, California
Label:Â Nuclear Blast
Buy now on Amazon.com
I've never been a Suicide Silence fan, but (on paper) I respect the spirit of this album. They're consciously playing with their sound to avoid stagnating like the rest of the scene they came up with. Including clean vocals, and Deftones-esque atmosphere is probably going to lose some people, but whatever. They're artists, it's their art, and they don't owe anyone else anything.

Unearthly Trance – Stalking The GhostÂ
Genre: Sludge/Doom
Origin:Â New York City, New York
Label:Â Relapse
Buy now on Amazon.com
Fuzz? Check. Feedback? Check. Devastating heaviness? CHECK! Unearthly Trance give you all the sludge you could hope for in (mostly) bite-sized portions.
