High On Fire wrapped up recording a new album with Converge's Kurt Ballou in March and you won't have to wait too much longer to hear it. According to frontman and guitarist Matt Pike in an interview with Orange Amps, they'll release the album sometime in September.
Pike says the album's music is "really difficult" and he doesn't want to play any of it live just yet.
"Our album drops in September. Yeah, it's really difficult music. I can do some after practices but no need to put it out there yet. I'll put it out there near when the album is dropping or something."
This will be High On Fire's first new album since 2015's Luminiferous and Pike's second record this year since Sleep finally made an amazing comeback.
