Despite having released a record just last year, Ihsahn is at it again! My ears are so ready.
According to his Facebook:
My new album is now finalized by the very capable hands of Jens Bogren and will soon be on its way to Candelight Records. We´ve not set a release date yet, but sometime this autumn for sure. Title and more information about it will be revealed later. Ritxi Ostáriz is nearly there with the artwork, and first photo session with Bjørn Tore Moen was done this week.
Oh hell yes! Considering how good Eremita was, and even After, there's no way this can be anything but amazing. Ihsahn had been teasing very little of himself in the studio a little earlier on this year, so apparently he's been at it for a while. It probably helped he was working with Leprous for a little bit this year, and I'll assume they had worked with him in some capacity on the new record given they're his live backing band and all. here's to hoping there's some sax on the new one too! Because seriously, those last two albums with saxophone were just amazing. Bring it on!
