Abigail Williams – whose lineup is now founder Ken Sorceron on vocals and guitars alongside guitarist Vance Valenzuela (Vale Of Pnath), bassist John Porada (ex-Nachtmystium, ex-Wolvhammer), and drummer Gabe Seeber (Decrepit Birth) – is in the studio recording their first new album since Walk Beyond The Dark in 2019. The record is expected to be out sometime in 2024 via Agonia Records.
"After two long years of contemplation, we've finally returned to the studio to revisit and refine our upcoming album," said Sorceron. "The path we've walked on this creative journey has had plenty of ups and downs, but our determination to get it right has never wavered. We're aiming for a tentative release in late spring/early summer.
"Crafting music worth sharing has taught us that time, patience, and meticulous care are essential. We've spared no effort to ensure that this album lives up to the exceptional quality of Walk Beyond The Dark. We're truly grateful for your unwavering support, and we hope you'll find it worth the wait when the album finally lands in your hands. Stay tuned for updates as we labor to bring you our most authentic work yet."
On their signing to Agonia Records, Sorceron previously commented: "I am thrilled to announce that Abigail Williams has signed with Agonia Records for our upcoming album release. The team at Agonia Records has shown tremendous enthusiasm and support for our music, and we feel confident that they will help us take our music to the next level. We can't wait to unleash our new album upon the world, and we are grateful to have Agonia Records by our side for this journey."
