Batushka is in the studio working on their debut album for Napalm Records, and second since vocalist Bartłomiej Krysiuk (this version of Batushka) and Krzysztof Drabikowski (the one that mans Батюшка now) split way back in 2018. According to Batushka, the new record will feature some varied instrumentation, and should be announced within the next few months.
"We are currently working on the final touches and mixes of our upcoming album," wrote Batushka. "After almost four months of hard work, we will be revealing more details about the album soon, including the release date in the fall. We are proud to announce that this album will feature a variety of unique and interesting instruments that we can't wait for you to hear. Despite the lack of a new album, Batushka has been keeping busy with two EPs – Раскол in 2020 and Царю небесный in 2021 – and a live album named Чёрные pитуалы out earlier this year.
